Welcome to Mannum Community College

Welcome to Mannum Community College. We are situated in the Murray River township of Mannum which is approximately an hour and a half drive from Adelaide. The school has excellent facilities and is set in well maintained grounds. We offer classes from reception to year 12. We also offer an independent learning program for students who wish to complete their SACE through a flexible learning option. Our learning programs are delivered by a committed teaching team and well trained support staff. We have completed a School Community Partnership Agreement for ATSI children and their families to better ensure that the whole school community works together to provide for the best possible learning pathways and outcomes for ATSI children.

Mannum Community College’s vision statement guides us to provide the best possible learning conditions and learning outcomes so that our students are future ready:  “We offer a safe, yet challenging school program that develops all students as successful, lifelong, resilient learners with respect for themselves, others and the environment”.

We are guided by our RIVER values in everything we do:

R – Respect

I – Integrity

V – Vitality

E – Excellence

R – Responsibility.

Student improvement and achievement is our core business. In 2016 we will continue our focus on improvement in Numeracy, Literacy and Wellbeing and support and encourage our students to do their best in all aspects of their school life. The efforts of the last five years have resulted in improved SACE results, reduction in suspensions, and more settled class and yard behaviour.

We value our links to the whole community with its unique environment, people, resources and profile within the Murray and Mallee and beyond as a tourist hub for the state and nation. Our Governing Council has a pivotal role in supporting and promoting school programs. Governing Council works in partnership with staff and leadership to build strong school home partnerships and open lines of communication. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to develop strong links with their children’s teachers and section leaders.  We are here to provide the best possible education for your children and to help you resolve any concerns promptly as they arise. We all look forward to welcoming you to our school community and invite you to attend our special events and assemblies.
